Description

The National Case Coverage Specialist provides field-based clinical and technical support for the SPRINT® PNS System across the United States. This role functions in collaboration with the Director of National Accounts, delivering case coverage, physician and staff education, Independent Account launch and new/expansion territory launch support. 


This position ensures physicians and their teams receive high-quality procedural and therapy support, enabling safe and effective delivery of SPRINT therapy while expanding access for patients nationwide. This position includes support of patients before, during and following therapy with SPRINT. 


The National Case Coverage Specialist plays a critical role in supporting new account activation, territory expansion, and case coverage needs in markets without dedicated local representation, gaps in local support including territory vacancies, PTO, leave coverage, and periods of increased procedural demand.  


RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Provide procedure (in-person and remote) support for SPRINT® PNS 
  2. Ensure consistent delivery of SPRINT clinical best practices 
  3. Travel to accounts nationwide to provide case coverage when local support is unavailable or in markets without dedicated local representation
  4. Support new account onboarding and case support in collaboration with the Director of National Accounts 
  5. Collaborate with territory leadership to support rapid adoption of SPRINT therapy
  6. Provide hands-on training for physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff with the goal of independent account delivery of SPRINT therapy 
  7. Deliver training to healthcare providers on:
  • SPRINT therapy fundamentals
  • Patient selection
  • Procedural workflow
  • Troubleshooting
  1. Serve as a clinical resource for health care providers adopting SPRINT therapy
  2. Support patient pre-education and follow-up support to ensure continuity of care throughout the SPRINT therapy period
  3. Support patient experience initiatives when needed
  4. Assist Director and SPRcare to ensure new provider account set-up execution 
  5. Assist with Purchase Order Collection 
  6. Ensure proper inventory at Independent Accounts or accounts with commercial stocking 
  7. May accompany Director or Sales Leadership on sales calls 
  8. May provide training and support to new field clinical specialists/case support specialists
  9. Assist in creating/managing leads, contacts, and accounts in SFDC 
  10. Assist in the development, distribution, and key reporting metrics of email campaigns 
  11. Must keep all credentialing requirements current 
  12. Performs other related duties as assigned.
  13. Complies with all aspects of the Corporate Compliance Program
  14. Submits product complaints in accordance with company procedures
Requirements

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Experience, Competencies, Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, clinical science, or related field
  • Medical device clinical support experience
  • Experience supporting interventional pain, neuromodulation, or implantable therapies
  • Experience working in procedural environments (OR, ASC, or procedure suites)
  • Ability to travel extensively

  • Extensive travel required (75%)
  • Ability to support accounts across multiple regions in the United States
  • Flexibility to respond to short-notice case coverage needs

SPR is a multi-state employer so the salary range may increase or decrease depending on location. Compensation will be commensurate with level of experience and training and pertinent education among other relevant business needs. This position is eligible for both annual company bonus and variable compensation based on territory and company performance.
